Onsite Job: Embedded Software Engineer Level 3

Work Location: Camarillo, California
Work Schedule: 9/80
Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded real-time system software.

• Work in an Agile environment as part of a Scrum team.

• Resolve software and system defects.

• Collaborate with customers, internal sites, and disciplines.

• Participate in and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical interchange meetings.

• Use project-dependent tools, including:

  • Configuration & Requirements: Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS

  • Development & Collaboration: Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence

  • Programming Languages: Ada, C/C++, C#, Python

  • Operating Systems / RTOS: Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, Linux

Basic Qualifications – Engineer Software 3

• BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 5 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience.

• Experience with a higher-order programming language such as Ada, C/C++, or C#.

• Knowledge of object-oriented software development.

• Ability to function as a member of an integrated team.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc..

• DoD Secret Clearance or higher required; interim Secret is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications – Engineer Software 3

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Strong collaborative mindset.

• Full software life-cycle experience on a large-scale formal DoD program.

• Experience programming with Ada.

• Experience programming with C++.

• Experience with real-time embedded software development.

• Experience working in an Agile environment.

• Electronic Warfare system development and design experience.

Education / Experience

Required:

• BS in a STEM field + 5 years of experience; or

• MS in a STEM field + 3 years of experience.
