Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is an onsite position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including large-scale data processing applications, analytics platforms, real-time systems, and advanced algorithms.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design, architecture, and performance specifications.
- Develop new features and capabilities while improving existing applications.
- Integrate software components into new and existing operating environments.
- Design and implement complex database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Develop and execute test procedures to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, system designs, and software specifications.
- Lead software development efforts and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with system engineers, stakeholders, and users to deliver mission-critical solutions.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Four (4) additional years of relevant software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, complexity, and mission impact.

- Docker & Kubernetes
- GitLab
- CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Apache NiFi
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Experience with Python
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

The projected compensation range for this position is $215,000.00-$250,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories
