Senior Software Engineer (C++ / VxWorks)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in C++ and VxWorks RTOS to join a leading Defense & Aerospace organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++.
- Develop embedded software on VxWorks RTOS.
- Perform hardware/software integration, testing, and debugging.
- Support verification and validation (V&V) activities for mission-critical systems.
- Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and test engineering teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure software complies with defense and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with C++.
- Experience developing software on VxWorks RTOS.
- Experience with embedded real-time systems.
- Knowledge of SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing) and multi-core architectures.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (Required).
- U.S. Citizenship (Required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Aegis Weapon Systems, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), or Anti-Air Warfare (AAW).
- Experience supporting missile flight test programs or weapon system test equipment.
- Background in Defense, Aerospace, or Naval systems.
