Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support a premier aerospace and defense customer developing next-generation satellite ground systems. What You'll Do
- Design, architect, and develop software supporting advanced satellite ground systems.
- Enhance and modernize existing software and system architectures to meet evolving mission requirements.
- Develop high-performance, object-oriented software applications using Java.
- Contribute throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Develop cloud-native microservices supporting distributed mission applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile development environment.
- Support DevSecOps initiatives, CI/CD pipelines, and software modernization efforts.
- Provide technical expertise on future development initiatives and engineering proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong object-oriented software development experience using Java.
- Experience developing multi-threaded Java applications.
- Experience designing or developing microservices.
- Experience working in cloud-based software environments.
- Experience developing planning, scheduling, mission management, or similar complex software systems.
- Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance or active Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI crossover.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
