The Peripherals system quality team is looking for a creative and motivated full-stack software engineer with excellent problem-solving, software architecture, and communication skills. This is your chance to join a team in a key role that will help drive future Apple products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be involved in the architecture, design, and full-stack development of various software frameworks targeted to improve our overall product quality. You will lead the definition and creation of scalable test infrastructure, core software libraries, and tools to streamline lab automation.
Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and cloud services from the ground up.\\nTake ownership of the services you build by deploying, managing, and maintaining the containerized applications and cloud services that power our automation labs, ensuring they are reliable and scale efficiently to meet team needs.\\nDesign, implement, and execute test suites for compatibility of Apple and 3rd party devices.\\nWork closely with engineering labs and cross-functional teams globally—including close daily collaboration with our Tokyo team—to prioritize, identify, reproduce, isolate issues, and drive resolution.\\nCollaborate with the team to co-author test plans and test cases.\\nRespond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor"s degree (BSEE/CS) or equivalent professional experience.\\n5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on full-stack engineering, system architecture, and service maintenance.\\nStrong programming skills in Python.\\nProficiency in modern full-stack development (backend services, database design, RESTful APIs, and frontend interfaces).\\nHands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and managing containerized applications.\\nFamiliarity with multiple cloud services and CI/CD.\\nProven ability to not only develop software but also deploy, manage, and maintain the containerized services and cloud environments you build.\\nGood understanding of macOS and testing methodologies.\\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English are required to collaborate seamlessly with our remote engineers.
Experience with JavaScript, C, Objective-C, or Swift is a strong plus.\\nJapanese language skills are a plus.\\nExperience with IO technologies, protocol stacks and computer accessories (USB, Thunderbolt devices).\\nA passion for product quality and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, along with a good instinct for discovering defects in software and hardware.
