Software Engineer, Research Platform

JunkBondInvestor is an independent credit research and media business covering high yield bonds, leveraged loans, private credit and BDCs. I'm hiring a software engineer to build the institutional research platform launching in early 2027, along with the data tools that sit behind the research.

What you'll do

• Build and run the subscriber-facing research site, including access control, billing and note publishing

• Build data pipelines for bond, loan and company financial data

• Create internal tools that help analysts model, chart and publish faster

• Maintain existing tools such as BDC Terminal and LevFinJobs

• Use AI tools where they make the work faster and better

What I'm looking for

• 3+ years shipping full-stack web applications

• Comfort with Python, SQL and a modern web framework

• Experience working with financial or market data is a plus

• Happy owning products end to end on a very small team

• Full-time, New York (hybrid) or remote in the US
